Summer Workshop 2010 by Inspire

Summer Workshop by Inspire: My 2 students Lance Katigbak (extreme left) & Bon Macabare (extreme right)

with their actors (center). Me (2nd from right)

It's the "ber" months I know. :) But I just want to share some pictures of the summer workshop I conducted for 2 smart students---Lance Katigbak, an honor student & a budding director/ scriptwriter who dreams of getting into the filmmaking program of NYU next year and Bon Macabare, a GK SIGA youth leader from Rizal who embodies the passion and eagerness of every Gawad Kalinga youth.

Lance (right) as the director and Bon (left) as director of photography.

I taught them basic videography & visual storytelling techniques with hands-on camera exercises with my Panasonic AG-DVX 100B. Lance & Bon specially enjoyed holding the camera and shooting with their actors :)

Lance, eagerly taking another video angle of his opening shot.

Non-linear video editing was also part of the workshop, using Adobe Premiere Pro.

I was so proud of these 2 young men! After 1 whole month of shooting & editing interspersed with lectures, we were all rewarded with final videos, made by their very own hands!

Here are the videos of my 2 students. Enjoy!
